A Perimédia lab felismerte, hogy a kommunikációban résztvevõ gép emberszabású aktõrré fejlõdése hasonló veszélyekkel fenyeget, mint az a (hagyományosabb) eljárás, amit az emberek géppé változtatásának nevezünk vagy egyszerûbben militarizmusnak.
Mindkét aktõr, a gépember (katona) és az embergép (komputer), különös médiumként szolgál, amikor az ember illetékességét és felelõsségét nagyobbnak láttatja ott ahol tulajdonképpen az kisebb (a békebeli tévéállomások és békebeli katonai állomások mûködése által), és kissebbnek vagy akár teljesen nemlétezõnek tünteti fel ott, ahol az voltaképp nagyobb (távvezérelt hadászat).
Perimedia lab has discovered that the growing of the machines into human sized actors has something in common with the reversed – and more „classical” - method of changing humans into machines that is the process we generally call „militarization”.
Both actors, the machine that has turned human (computer) and the human that has turned machine (soldier) can serve as a special medium which in some cases is able to make seem some human's area of competency and responsability much bigger than actually is (through the peace time activity of tv stations and military stations) or on other occasions they can make one's involvement and responsability seem much less or totally missing when in fact that is really huge (like for instance in case of telematic wars).
